The UK’s biggest gaming festival is upon us. Kicking off on 26th of August at the International Centre in Telford, Insomnia is a gaming event for all ages, where gamers and industry leaders alike come together to celebrate games in all their forms.

With over 12 different tournaments coving a wide selection of games and formats, there is something for everyone this bank holiday weekend. Big prize many and loads of computer equipment up for grabs ensure fierce competition and very intense matches.

The ASUS L4D2 Survival Campaign!

We decided we wanted to do something different with our Left 4 Dead 2 competition surrounding Insomnia 43. Sponsored by ASUS, this tournament will be slightly out of the ordinary. Not only can you enter Insomnia43 event at the end of August, but you’ll also have all of August to set a time online and simply enter your score on our Multiplay Forums!

At the end of the month the winning team will be asked by Myltiplay to submit all 4 PoV demos so that their time can once again be verified. Should there be anything out of the ordinary, or any foul play, that team will have their time disqualified and Multiplay will move to second place as the winners. They will then also be asked to provide their 4 PoV demos to verify their time. Essentially if you have set a time in the top 5 please make sure you keep your PoV Demos and make them available upon request. No demo = No win!

This competition is open and live for times to be submitted from now and the closing date will be midday (12 noon GMT) Sunday 28th August. Should you not have the time to set an online time but are attending Insomnia43 have no fear, Multiplay will have machines available on the Multiplay stand for teams of 4 to enter yourselves into the competition from LAN.

Not only can you come to the Insomnia Gaming Festival to compete in tournaments, but you can also head down to the Exhibition hall where Industry leaders will be hosting talks, demo’s and frees to play tournaments throughout the weekend!

ASUS will have a stand all set up with the latest motherboards and graphics cards for you to come and drool over, as well as the top of the range gaming notebooks (G53SW and G73SW running in 3D) and the top selling ASUS Eee Pad Transformer for a bit of light relief from the stress of hard-core gaming.

So pop on over and say hi, check out the kit and have a friendly chat with the boys from ASUS, we are there all weekend!
